Vegas Healthcare is thrilled to announce its upcoming “Ugly Sweater Fundraiser” event, a festive evening dedicated to raising funds for vital healthcare initiatives in Southern Nevada. The event will take place on Thursday, December 5th, 2024, from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at The D Hotel in downtown Las Vegas.
Back in late 2015, a group of dedicated healthcare professionals saw a need for a truly inclusive community event—one that would bring together everyone from physicians and CEOs to front desk staff. Out of that vision, the VHC Ugly Sweater Party was born! This isn’t your typical fancy gala; it’s a fun, festive gathering where everyone is welcome to come as they are and celebrate the vibrant healthcare community they’re part of.
Since that first gathering, the Vegas Ugly Sweater Party has grown from a small memory care space to filling entire ballrooms with laughter, camaraderie, and a true sense of togetherness. Each year, we proudly choose a charity to support, and this year, we’re thrilled to stand with Cure 4 The Kids.
Proceeds from this holiday-themed fundraiser will benefit two essential causes: the Cure 4 The Kids Foundation, an organization dedicated to treating children with life-threatening conditions, and scholarships for local nursing students, helping to strengthen the healthcare workforce in Southern Nevada.
“We’re excited to bring the community together for an evening of fun, laughter, and support for two worthy causes,” said Yvette Zolina, Vice President of Vegas Healthcare. “The Ugly Sweater Fundraiser is a chance for everyone to enjoy the holiday spirit while making an impact for children in need and future healthcare professionals.”
Guests are encouraged to don their most outrageous holiday sweaters and join an evening filled with entertainment, raffles, food, and drinks. Prizes will be awarded for the “Ugliest Sweater,” adding a competitive twist to the festivities.
