The hospitals of The Valley Health System are hosting a variety of special events, screenings and trunk or treats throughout the month of October. All events are free of charge except where noted.

Mammogram Screenings – Weekdays in October at Summerlin Hospital. The cost is $90 for a 2D scan and $150 for a $3D scan. A physician’s order is required and insurance will not be billed.

October 3- Family First Fridays at West Henderson Hospital – Stop by West Henderson Hospital at 1155 Raiders Way on Friday, October 3 from 5 to 8 pm for a free, fun night of socializing, chillaxing and activities to jumpstart your weekend! Located on The Lawn, the event will feature:
* Live music by Henderson resident Cam Konicek and Josh Konicek – a mix of classic rock, new country, and requests
* Halloween crafts & mini pumpkin painting
* Lawn games
* Free picnic blanket to first 150 adults
* Eight artisan vendors selling baked goods, chocolate treats, popcorn, craft and crochet items, beads and jewelry (a great jumpstart on your holiday shopping and hostess gifts)
* Food trucks Lot J Tacos, Slidin Through burgers and Splash of Boba with items for purchase
* Lexie’s Bistro with snacks and info
* Specialty Halloween treat for purchase in the Café and non-alcoholic drinks
* Great information from local organizations including the American Heart Association, Nevada Donor Network and Southern Nevada Health District.
* Future events will be held November 7 and December 5, 2025, and January 2, 2026.

October 11, 2025 –  Fall Into Wellness Health Fair with Clark County School District – Open to all and especially those with school-age children, regardless of where they attend school, this free event will be held outside from 9 am to 12 pm at 1155 Raiders Way (cross street St. Rose Parkway). The inaugural event will feature a variety of hands-on activities from hospital departments, obstacle course, oversized “Operation”-style game, hands-on demonstration with the DaVinci robotic surgery system, the Clark County Book Bus, the West Henderson Library bus, first responder agencies, physician groups, Green Life Produce (Pahrump, NV) with $5 “prescriptions” to the first 400 children and teens to “shop” with additional items for purchase, information from the  Las Vegas Worm Farm and a host of Clark County School District departments, live DJ, fitness dance sessions, a Kona Ice food truck (while supplies last) and items for sale in the hospital Café.  Free tote bags for the first 1500 attendees.
