Area residents invited to free April 11 event at Obodo Collective
The second annual Heart of the Community Block Party promises an afternoon of music, movement and community connection. Hosted by the Southern Nevada Health District’s Office of Chronic Disease Prevention and Health Promotion, the Block Party will offer something for everyone.
WHAT
Attendees can take advantage of free health resources and connect with community organizations offering blood pressure screenings, information on heart disease, gardening tips, fitness activities for kids, free haircuts and more. The event also offers opportunities to recharge through yoga, sound healing and line dancing. An interactive heart-healthy food demonstration by Simply Pure’s Chef Stacey Dougan will showcase delicious ways to support health and wellness.
