For the second Summer, SilverSummit Healthplan donated critically needed water to support community partners serving individuals experiencing housing insecurity. The Medicaid plan distributed – seven pallets of water – totaling 336 cases and 13,440 bottles – to several vital organizations across the valley. These donations are part of its ongoing commitment to help keep Nevadans safe and hydrated during periods of extreme heat, while also supporting local cooling stations and public health initiatives led by RTC and Clark County focused on sun safety and heat awareness.
The water was distributed as follows:
Las Vegas Rescue Mission – 4 pallets of water
Shine A Light – 1 pallet of water
Nevada Homeless Alliance -1 pallet of water
Clark County Social Services Care Hot Team – 1 pallet of water
Alyson Martinez, Chief Operating Officer at the Rescue Mission, shared that the donation couldn’t have come at a better time and expressed deep appreciation for their continued partnership with SilverSummit Healthplan.
