Dr. Alvancin Louis and Dr. Cara Pozolo Join Nevada Heart and Vascular Center
Dr. Cara Pozolo has joined Nevada Heart and Vascular Center. Dr. Pozolo, a Major in the United States Air Force, will see patients at the center’s W. Sunset Rd. location.
“Dr. Pozolo is a wonderful addition to our team of best-in-class physicians,” said Dr. Tony Alamo, Nevada Heart and Vascular’s chief physician executive and chief medical officer. “She’s a skilled vascular surgeon whose contributions will allow us to continue to provide our patients with the highest quality of care possible.”
Pozolo is a graduate of Michigan State University College of Human Medicine in East Lansing and Grand Rapids, MI, and served as chief resident, vascular surgery, at UC Davis Medical Center in Sacramento, CA. Air Force active duty for 12 years, she will also continue to serve as a vascular surgeon at Mike O’Callaghan Military Medical Center at Nellis AFB.

Louis is a graduate of the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine in Tampa, FL. He completed his residency in general surgery at University of Florida Health in Jacksonville, FL, and earned his vascular surgery fellowship at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center in Temple, TX. Still Air Force active duty after 12 years, Louis will remain affiliated with the Mike O’Callaghan Military Medical Center at Nellis AFB.
