Nevada Donor Network hosted the 2022 Inspire Gala in Downtown Las Vegas on Aug. 27. Attendees enjoyed a cocktail reception, silent and live auctions, dinner, as well as a VIP afterparty and entertainment from Nick Petricca of Walk the Moon. The Inspire Gala is an important annual event for Nevada Donor Network as it helps raise awareness for organ, eye and tissue donation and raise funds for expanding transplantation capabilities in the State of Nevada.

At the event, the following awards were presented:

Governor’s Award – Donor Hero, Trooper Micah May (accepted by his wife Joanna May)

Hope Award – Sunrise Hospital & Medical Center

Strength Award – Nevada Mining Association

Life Award – Lauren Molasky Fierst, Lung Recipient

All proceeds from the Inspire Gala are helping to fund Nevada Donor Network Foundation’s “End the Wait” campaign, aimed at raising $35 million to expand transplantation in Nevada. Once achieved, Nevada residents would no longer have to seek life-saving care in surrounding states; they would be able to be evaluated, transplanted, and cared for locally. The community’s support helps further the organization’s goals to expand transplantation services and programs in Nevada while bringing hope to the 618 local Nevadans currently waiting for a lifesaving transplant.
