Beyond the Bump – Postpartum Support Group at Spring Valley Hospital (free)
Held on the first Thursday of every month (September 3, 2026) from 6 pm to 7:15 pm, Beyond the Bump is especially for mothers who have recently delivered a little one. Whether a new mom is navigating sleepless nights, shifting roles, changing emotions, or simply adjusting to life, this warm and welcoming group is here to talk about all the changes that come with a growing family. Every Wednesday in September from 10 am to 2 pm, the cardiac team is hosting an information table at Summerlin Hospital in the main lobby to help the community better understand atrial fibrillation and treatment options. Each week features a different medical vendor:

Oh Baby! Celebration for New and Expecting Parents at Summerlin Hospital
On Saturday, September 12, 2026, Summerlin Hospital is hosting its fourth annual free Oh Baby! Celebration from 9 am to 1 pm throughout the first floor of the hospital. The event features educational tables and tours of the maternity unit, games for younger children, an old-fashioned donut and cake walks, raffle prizes, giveaways, photo booth fun, and special visits by pet therapy dogs and mini horses, costumed characters and more! Free and open to the community.

Las Vegas Cardiac Support Group at Summerlin Hospital
Summerlin Hospital hosts a free monthly cardiac support group for people with heart disease and their loved ones, along with anyone else interested in the topic. The group meets on the third Thursday of the month (September 17, 2026) from 5 to 6 pm in conference rooms 1A/1B. The guest speaker in September is Dr. David Rogers who will discuss psychological distress issues following a cardiac event. In October 2025, the American Heart Association issued a scientific statement, formally naming the issue Post-Myocardial Infarction Psychological Distress (source: Post–Myocardial Infarction Psychological Distress: A Scientific Statement From the American Heart Association | Circulation). Dr. Andra Prum, DO, FAAFP and program director for The Valley Health System Family Residency Program will also be present as an additional resource.

Fall Community Health Fair at Centennial Hills Hospital
On Saturday, September 19, 2026, Centennial Hills Hospital is hosting a free, family-friendly event from 11 am to 1 pm, featuring health screenings, wellness information and fun activities for children, including facepainting for children, raffles and refreshments. The first 100 attendees will receive a free gift.
