The presentation will provide an overview of the standard procedures within assisted reproductive technologies. It will include a brief overview of court cases establishing the legal status of the human embryo. Finally, the emerging technologies within the realm of human embryo science and its potential implications will be addressed.

About the Speaker

Dr. Alicia W. Thompson is an accomplished Obstetrician Gynecologist. She is a graduate of Nova Southeastern University, a Diplomate of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and a Fellow of the American Congress of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She has extensive teaching experience as both an Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology and affiliate faculty at Wright State University.
