Mission Ghana: Cultural Differences in Pharmacy Patient Care

March 14 @ 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm

Light Dinner Provided

Presented by Katherin Ragan, PharmD, Oncology Clinical Pharmacist, Cleveland Clinic and Roseman University College of Pharmacy Alumna, Class of 2017
Join Roseman Alumna Katherin Ragan, PharmD, class of 2017, as she returns to Nevada from her work at the Cleveland Clinic in Ohio as an oncology clinical pharmacist to tell the story of her clinical rotation to Ghana as a student that changed the lives of those served, and those serving.  The rotation was designed to not only provide clinical aid to the people of Ghana but also to understand how the cultural, economic, ethnic, and social contexts impact the work of the pharmacist in that country and how that knowledge can be used for patient care in U.S healthcare settings. What did students learn? How did this experience impact students and those in need? What surprises did the group not expect? Join us to learn more about a trip of a lifetime.
