An Update from Roseman – Summerlin

By February 12, 2019 News

In December of last year, the College of Medicine (COM) announced the arrival of neurologist Eric Farbman, MD. He joined Roseman Medical Group (RMG) as an associate professor with the COM, and chief of the RMG Movement Disorders program. He comes to RMG with expertise in managing Deep Brain Stimulators for patients with movement disorders, and is leading clinical trials for patients with disorders like Parkinson’s.  He is working out of RMG’s Spring Valley office alongside his colleague, David Ginsburg, MD, and the rest of the RMG team – adding his efforts to serve patients, and to bring on a medical school.

To put the rapid growth of RMG in perspective, consider this:  RMG saw its first patient in 12 months ago. Dominic Etli, RMG’s first Nurse Practitioner, will be coming on board in March, joining the Family Medicine team. With another Family Physician joining us in July, RMG will have outgrown its first office space in just a year and a half. We’re already looking for new sites to expand our reach to patients.

RMG has announced its Open House and Ribbon Cutting ceremony to be held February 28th hosted by the Las Vegas Metro Chamber of Commerce and HEALS.  It is Roseman University’s first medical clinic, taking us one step closer to achieving the goal in its Strategic Plan – to create an Academic Health Center.  Due to the limited space the event will be RSVP.

Breakthrough in Medicine! College of Medicine Campaign Update –

We’re happy to announce that Rita Vaswani, Vice President/Senior Relationship Manager, Professional Banking of Nevada State Bank has accepted the position of Chair of the University’s Breakthrough in Medicine! campaign for the College of Medicine. Rick Smith, President of RDS Properties in Henderson, is co-chair. Ms. Vaswani is an active community member with a long-standing, effective commitment to the health care concerns of this community. Mr. Smith is a member of the Roseman University Board of Trustees and of the COM Community Advisory Board. Both Ms. Vaswani and Mr. Smith strongly support the Mission, Vision, and Values of the COM, and their participation in this Breakthrough in Medicine! campaign strengthens our outreach into the community. We deeply appreciate the commitment of their time and talents and those of the other members of our Campaign Committee to the COM.  We continue to seek out those who identify with the core tenets of the COM; those who are willing to partner with us as they give of their means and who desire to become advocates for the COM in the community.
