AN ACT relating to mental health; requiring the Commission on Behavioral Health to employ a coordinator for each regional behavioral health policy board; revising the counties that comprise certain behavioral health regions; revising the duties of a regional health policy board; making an appropriation; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.

AN ACT relating to public health; placing certain restrictions on grants and other allocations of money by the Department of Health and Human Services and its divisions to certain entities for health care or related services; providing for the allocation of certain money to address public health needs; making an appropriation; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.

AB 116Provides for an actuarial study to determine the cost of revising certain Medicaid reimbursement rates. (BDR S-702)

AN ACT relating to insurance; requiring an insurer to authorize a service from an out-of-network provider in certain circumstances; requiring an insurer to offer health insurance coverage regardless of health status; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.

AN ACT relating to health insurance; requiring an insurer to allow an insured to credit the amount paid for a prescription drug under certain circumstances toward any applicable deductible; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.

AN ACT relating to health insurance; prohibiting health carriers from retroactively denying a claim under certain circumstances; requiring health carriers, under certain circumstances, to treat deductible, copayment or coinsurance paid by the covered person for medically necessary emergency services as if the expenses were paid to a participating health care provider for the purposes of determining certain annual maximum payments; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.

AB 317Revises provisions governing the licensing and operation of certain medical facilities. (BDR 40-1034)

AN ACT relating to health care; authorizing the State Board of Health to require the licensing of certain facilities; requiring the Division of Public and Behavioral Health of the Department of Health and Human Services to consider certain factors before issuing a new license; requiring certain facilities to obtain approval before offering new medical services; prohibiting a hospital from operating facilities located a certain distance from the hospital; revising provisions governing approval to operate a center for the treatment of trauma and the operation of such a center; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.

AB252Revises provisions relating to providers of community-based living arrangement services. (BDR 39-656)

AN ACT relating to mental health; revising the scope of community-based living arrangement services; imposing certain requirements relating to the operation of a provider of community-based living arrangement services; requiring a provider of community-based living arrangement services to reimburse the Division of Public and Behavioral Health of the Department of Health and Human Services for certain overpayments to the provider; requiring an annual financial audit of a contract between the Division and a provider of community-based living arrangement services; revising requirements concerning the issuance or renewal of a certificate to provide community-based living arrangement services; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.

AB 348Makes various changes to prevent and track workplace violence at medical facilities. (BDR 53-843)

AN ACT relating to occupational safety and health; requiring a medical facility to develop and carry out a plan for the prevention of workplace violence and report incidents of workplace violence to the Division of Industrial Relations of the Department of Business and Industry; prohibiting a medical facility from taking certain actions against an employee who seeks the assistance of a public safety agency in response to workplace violence or who reports workplace violence; requiring a medical facility to maintain certain records and provide copies of those records to certain persons upon request; requiring the Division to publish an annual report concerning workplace violence at medical facilities; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.

AB 361Revises provisions relating to the practice of medicine. (BDR 54-839)

AN ACT relating to the Board of Medical Examiners; revising provisions relating to a physician who is supervising medical students; revising provisions relating to certain inspections of medical premises which the Board is authorized to conduct; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.

AB469Revises provisions governing billing for certain medically necessary emergency services. (BDR 40-704)

AN ACT relating to health care; limiting the amount a provider of health care may charge a person who has health insurance for certain medically necessary emergency services provided when the provider is out-of-network; requiring a health care facility to transfer a person who has health insurance to another facility under certain circumstances; prescribing procedures for determining the amount that an insurer is required to pay a provider of health care which is out-of-network for certain medically necessary emergency services provided to an insured; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.

SB 115Requires the State Plan for Medicaid to include coverage for donor breast milk. (BDR 38-560)

AN ACT relating to public welfare; requiring the inclusion in the State Plan for Medicaid of coverage for donor breast milk for certain infants; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.

SB 130Provides for the licensing and regulation of certain persons who administer radiation. (BDR 40-61)

AN ACT relating to radiation; creating the Radiation Therapy and Radiologic Imaging Advisory Committee; providing for a license to engage in radiation therapy or radiologic imaging; providing for a limited license to engage in radiologic imaging; prescribing the requirements for the issuance and renewal of such a license and limited license; authorizing certain persons to practice as radiologist assistants; prescribing additional qualifications for a person to perform certain types of radiation therapy and radiologic imaging; providing for the enforcement of the requirements concerning radiation therapy and radiologic imaging; authorizing the imposition of disciplinary action or an injunction against a person who engages in radiation therapy or radiologic imaging in certain circumstances; providing penalties; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.

SB 134Makes various changes relating to advanced practice registered nurses. (BDR 43-63)

AN ACT relating to nurses; authorizing an advanced practice registered nurse to make certain certifications, diagnoses and determinations in lieu of a physician or other provider of health care; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.

AN ACT relating to health care; requiring the Commissioner of Insurance to collect certain information from providers of health care, establish a database comprised of such information and compile an annual report concerning such information; requiring the Commissioner to develop a form letter to provide certain notice to providers of health care relating to participation in the network of a health carrier; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.

AN ACT relating to insurance; requiring insurers to offer and issue health insurance coverage regardless of the health status of a person; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.

SB 247Requires informed consent of a parent or guardian before certain services related to mental health are provided to a child. (BDR 39-626)

AN ACT relating to mental health; requiring in most circumstances the informed consent of each parent or guardian who has legal custody of a child before certain services relating to mental health may be provided to the child; authorizing the provision of such services with the consent of one parent or guardian in certain circumstances; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.

SB 259Revises provisions relating to physicians. (BDR 54-628)

AN ACT relating to physicians; requiring the issuance of a provisional license by endorsement to practice allopathic or osteopathic medicine under certain circumstances; requiring the issuance of a license by endorsement to the holder of such a provisional license by endorsement under certain circumstances; requiring the Executive Director of the Board of Medical Examiners and of the State Board of Osteopathic Medicine to be a licensed allopathic or osteopathic physician, as applicable; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.

SB262Makes various changes to provide for tracking and reporting of information concerning the pricing of prescription drugs for treating asthma. (BDR 40-55)

AN ACT relating to prescription drugs; making various changes to provide for tracking and reporting of information concerning the pricing of prescription drugs for treating asthma; requiring certain insurers to provide certain notice concerning those drugs to insureds; providing for an administrative penalty for failure to provide certain information concerning those drugs to the Department of Health and Human Services; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.

SB276Revises provisions relating to prescription drugs. (BDR 57-599)

AN ACT relating to prescription drugs; prohibiting a pharmacy benefit manager or insurer from accepting remuneration from a manufacturer of prescription drugs except in certain circumstances; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.

SB 289Requires certain policies of health insurance to cover services provided by an out-of-network physician. (BDR 57-675)

AN ACT relating to health insurance; requiring insurers who issue certain policies of health insurance which provide coverage using a network plan to provide for the reimbursement of services provided by an out-of-network physician; requiring a physician who receives such a reimbursement to accept the reimbursement as payment in full; requiring such a policy of health insurance to include provisions relating to recovery of a copayment, deductible or coinsurance from an insured for such a reimbursement; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.

SB 290Requires network plans to reimburse out-of-network providers of health care for certain services. (BDR 57-72)

AN ACT relating to insurance; requiring a health carrier that issues a network plan to provide for the reimbursement of unanticipated out-of-network care that is provided by an out-of-network provider of health care; authorizing an out-of-network provider of health care to seek the recovery of the deductible, coinsurance or copayment from a covered person for such care; requiring an out-of-network provider of health care who receives reimbursement in the amount specified to accept the reimbursement as payment in full; providing that any provision of a network plan which conflicts with such requirements for reimbursement is void; requiring a health carrier to ensure that each network plan of the health carrier includes certain information; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.

SB 361Provides for the prescribing, ordering and dispensing of contraceptive supplies by pharmacists. (BDR 54-921)

AN ACT relating to health care; authorizing a pharmacist to prescribe or order and dispense contraceptive supplies to a patient; requiring the State Plan for Medicaid and certain health insurance plans to provide certain benefits relating to contraceptive supplies; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.

SB378Revises provisions relating to the pricing of prescription drugs. (BDR 40-574)

AN ACT relating to prescription drugs; establishing the Prescription Drug Affordability Board and the Prescription Drug Affordability Stakeholder Council; imposing certain requirements to prevent conflicts of interest involving a member of the Board; authorizing the Board to employ certain persons; requiring the Board to impose an assessment on manufacturers of prescription drugs; authorizing the Board to review the prices of certain prescription drugs; providing for the confidentiality of certain information used in such a review; authorizing the Board to prescribe an upper payment limit for a prescription drug that meets certain requirements after such a review; authorizing written appeals to the Board; requiring the Board to submit an annual report to the Legislature; revising provisions concerning coverage of prescription drugs under Medicaid and the Children’s Health Insurance Program; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.

SB482 Revises provisions relating to health insurance. (BDR 57-531)

AN ACT relating to health insurance; authorizing the Commissioner of Insurance to enter into certain types of interstate compacts; authorizing the Commissioner to allow reciprocal licensure with certain states; establishing the Nevada Reinsurance Program; authorizing the Commissioner to apply to the Secretary of Health and Human Services for a certain waiver; removing certain waiting period requirements for health benefit plans for individuals not purchased on the Silver State Health Insurance Exchange; removing certain requirements for varying a premium rate on certain plans based on tobacco use and age; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.
