Task Forces usually meet once per month, with exceptions based on organizational and community priorities. Times and dates are posted in our regularly-delivered emails.

LEGISLATIVE TASK FORCE
The Legislative and Regulatory Task Force (Task Force 4) follows Nevada Political campaigns and Legislative Sessions. It comprises individuals who have an interest in and experience working with Legislators and Regulators from the various entities that make the regulations that come from the passage of Bills during the Sessions. The Task Force reaches out and tries to give testimony as the Bills are heard in committee hearings. We also attempt to educate the Legislators regarding how we believe the proposed Legislation affects the healthcare community and the public at HEALS. We also support candidates during the election cycles.

WORKFORCE TASK FORCE
This is an exciting time for Heals as we are experiencing an unprecedented initiative/s in re-engineering how we do workforce development/training in our region. We collaborate with multiple stakeholders in the workforce, economic, and educational/training ecosystems. Our goal is to fill the skill gaps better and provide the trained workers you need. Finding and securing staff is paramount, especially since healthcare is on the front line fighting our nation’s challenges. Our Workforce Development Committee/Heals are “critical” stakeholders in our region’s efforts to re-engineer how we provide workforce development.

PHYSICIAN ENGAGEMENT TASK FORCE
The Physicians Engagement Task Force is a coalition designed to understand physicians’ unique challenges in practicing medicine in Las Vegas. Many external forces apply pressure to attract and retain top talent to the Las Vegas Healthcare System. Our charter is to engage physicians in all practices and specialties to ensure their concerns are heard and adequate resources are provided. Individual physicians are the heart and soul of Las Vegas Healthcare, and without them, Las Vegas is no longer the city that we know and love.

HUMAN RESOURCES TASK FORCE
The HR Task Force is comprised of local HR healthcare leaders who will come together to explore the challenges hospitals, healthcare organizations, and medical groups are experiencing around recruiting, on-boarding, developing, and retaining/engaging staff, as well as in leadership pipeline development. Las Vegas HEALS will use this information and the task force’s recommendations to develop resources, programming, and other opportunities to alleviate some of these constraints.

HEALTHCARE TECHNOLOGY TASK FORCE
Technology is now an integral part of Healthcare delivery, patient communications, and management. There are significant opportunities that proper use of technology can provide us, but there are substantial risks for Health Care organizations if not adequately mitigated.
