As CEO of the Las Vegas HEALS, formerly known as the Southern Nevada Medical Industry Coalition, Doug oversees their mission “To foster strategic alliances in the health care community, collaborating on workforce issues and being a proactive force for legislative initiatives to improve access and the delivery of quality health care in Southern Nevada.”

Geinzer is best known for his development of Recruiting Nevada, which owned and operated the largest statewide job board network in Nevada before he sold it to Greenspun Media Group in 2008. Recruiting Nevada’s healthcare network (which included NVNurses.com, NVMedicalJobs.com and NVDoctorJobs.com) that was contracted by 93% of the hospitals in Las Vegas. The Recruiting Nevada Network attracted an average of 300 highly qualified registered nurse and allied health applicants each month looking to relocate to Las Vegas and solved a community crisis while healthcare education infrastructure was being developed. This solution reduced the average cost-per-hire by over 80%, saving the region hundreds of millions of dollars in inflated labor costs driven up by third party agencies.

Geinzer departed Greenspun Media in 2010 to lead the then Southern Nevada Medical Industry Coalition (now known as Las Vegas HEALS). Prior to assuming the role of CEO, Geinzer was Chairman of its board of directors. He quickly saw opportunity and positioned the non-profit to assist in workforce development, and was awarded a $750k workforce development grant just a few months later. The Healthcare 20/20 Program has since been recognized the most successful workforce training program in the history of Nevada, delivering a $10.2 economic impact ( or a 14x ROI), creating health care jobs that paid more than double the workforce agencies average salary and creating those jobs for less than 60% of the cost of any other provider.

Born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA, Doug relocated to Las Vegas in 1993 to build a media company he later sold to Cox and Landmark Communications, moving on to build the largest recruitment advertising agency in Las Vegas that was later repositioned to become Recruiting Nevada.
